I was recently charged again for one of my Avast subscriptions, after a couple of months ago I unsubscribed from all three. I went to check and see if I had missed something, but from my view and knowledge it looks like they are all still under the Expiring status. So I went to request a refund. They wanted an Order ID which was supposed to be sent to me in an email after the charge. I do not think I ever received this email. So I clicked on “Forgot Order Id” and entered in the proper email address attached to the account and the last 4 digits of my card that was charged. However, I do pay through paypal so I was wondering if that would effect this. On top of that, the other two prompts on the page said last 5 digits of my card, while the input box said 4 and would not allow me to enter more than 4 numbers. I tried multiple times only to continue receiving “invalid information” on the next page. Every other option to contact and work my way around this keeps leading me back to the same problem. I don’t have the $50 to waste so I am becoming increasingly more frustrated and am thinking about contacting my card company. Any ideas how I can find my Order Id? Any way to actually contact someone you can talk directly to about the problems you’re having? Avast is extremely lacking in the support and contact department.

Hi darion.heath95,
I’m sorry to hear about the issues that you have been experiencing trying to get this order refunded. It appears that the issues occurred because order was made under a mistyped email address. I have managed to locate the order now though, and I have notified our distributor about the refund; they will arrange the transaction and notify you in due course (I have advised them of the correct email address).
Please be aware, it may take between 5 to 7 business days to complete the refund process, and to have the funds back in your account.
Thank you both for your responses! I was truly at a loss and sad to lose out on money I didn’t have to begin with. I will monitor my accounts and wait for the transaction to go through. I have a question though. Will my subscriptions continue to do this? I have had an agreeable experience with Avast, just do not have the funds for renewal as of now. I need my subscriptions to have their automatic renewal cancelled. I think that they are, but I wanted to verify this.
