Hi. I’ve been using Avast since I got my new computer, for a little over a year now. It’s been fine, done scans, deleted viruses stuff like that. I’ve had no problems-until now. I am trying to download a file that has not been blocked before, and Avast continues to block it. I know the file is safe because I have a very similar version to the file on my computer at this moment. The only thing added is a slight update. I will post the link if necessary.
Anyways, I cannot download the updated version because Avast continues to block it, and I have no idea how to turn that off. I tried the “disable for 10 minutes” button, and it requires a password. A password which I don’t have and I have forgotten. I was wondering how I could bypass the password or how I could reset the password, because Google has decided that it would not help me today. I am using Avast Free (or something like that, the Free version of Avast).
Oh yeah I completely understand that, but the website this is coming from has a couple hundred thousand members and the file is pretty widely known. No one else has reported issues with it really, but it seems that certain anti-viruses track it.
But I completely understand, and I run scans on a few different programs every few days.
