Hi, I have run Avast home for several years on different computers. Now I can’t change my program settings since it asks for my password. I can’t remember I have set one. If I ignore giving a password I get a red error message. What to do? Please help!

Uninstalling and installing again is a way to remove the password (used for the settings only).
Other way, well, Alwil should say something but I think they won’t post here in forum (if exists a method to do so…).
Ordinarily avast doesn’t ask for a password if you haven’t set one, does anyone else have access to your computer that might have set it ?
If so then when you reinstall perhaps it would be best to set a memorable password that won’t be easily guessed and one that your unlikely to forget.
