Hello,
While pluging my USB key into another computer (which had another anti-virus than avast) it showed 2 virus that Avast had not found. After a scan with avast on the removable disks (including the key) at home it still showed nothing.
I have Windows XP home edition.
The name of the bugs are copy.exe and Formador.
Any help anyone ?

Can you send the samples to virus@avast.com ?
You can zip and password the files… Inform a link to this thread and the password used.
You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis.

It’s just that while plugin my usb key into another computer that it (some anti-virus sw) identified the presence of these bugs and I wrote it down. I was not able to locate them after, that while the key was plugged again on my computer. So I cannot isolate them and send it to you…
Maybe I should format the key thoroughly?

So… it will be difficult to go further because we can’t even know if is a problem with the files or with that computer you’ve plugged the key.

Difficult to know… but it’s up to you.

If the other av identified the files is it possible they were deleted? Maybe your friend can check his logs.
