Why do I keep running into the following error when trying to post ???

To bypass the error, I need to Preview the post before hitting the post button.

I experienced this also a few times, when I edited a posting and wanted to post it within a certain time frame, then one has to log out and back in again, must be an additional safety provision built in I guess, agree it can be rather annoying because you have to go back cut and paste and post again,

yep I’ve had this message a few times too, but alternatively also this one: “your last post was less than ***seconds…wait etc…” …adding, like Polonus said, if the errors happen again and again, the best cure is to log out and back in (clearing cookies and cache in the meantime is still better).
Logging out and back in didn’t seem to make any difference.
As I already mentioned, doing a preview first seems to bypass that error ???
I’m using Google Chrome as my browser. Win 7 (32 bit)

GoogleChrome is a process tabbed browser (so the whole browser would not crash at once in case of a hang), so you could not switch tabs = processes and prevent it in this way, go to extra options in that browser to stop that particular hanging process and re-load. Every feature is a mutual blessing or curse, 8) ;D

I have been getting lots of them, the problem being that trying to log out results in the error being displayed again. Using firefox, so it doesn’t seem to be browser specific.

The error “an sich” certainly is not browser specific,. You are right there, but for the solution and steering away you are worse off surfing with Chrome, that is what our mutual friend, bob3160, is experiencing now. One of the reasons (like with the constant silent upgrades that ruined my Chrome extension settings like with ABP, that made me decide to drop that partly incomplete browser ad-launching “keylogger” application as by default generally known under the name of GoogleChrome),

I’m experiencing troubles in two situations:
- Modifying posts.
- Adding posts (reviewed) when another user posted there before.
In both cases I return to the posted message.
But in both cases it take molasses to update…
It happened again in this same thread…

This is a forum problem. It has nothing to do with the browser.
I personally like Chrome and don’t have any problems or complaints about it.

Do a preview and then post. The only thing I’m having a problem with is answering a post using the quote function to answer a post.
I regularly do a preview of the post as I use the Quick Reply window to draft the post.
Did it without preview first this time to test and it throws up a different session error, timed out in this case (which worked). But that is not right to have to preview every time to avoid this.
