So I ran a full system scan today and the only malware file to show up was named JS:ScriptIP-inf [trj]. Though looking at the file location from avast software, it appears in my origin files which is a EA game launcher. Is this a false positive or a virus pretending to be my Origin launcher?
Test the file at VT (https://www.virustotal.com) and post the link to the result here.
I already deleted the file from my virus chest though.
OK, that means there’s nothing to work with.
Did avast actually get rid of the file off my computer? How can I be sure it’s gone.
Most likely, but you can always rescan your system.
Found a trojan virus on my computer?JS:ScriptIP-inf [trj] = Trojan so you found a Trojan and not a virus ;)
