Found an easy way to trick avast block ...

I found an easy way to overcome the block on Sony Xperia Z5

I can shut down the phone while is blocked. It’s difficult to do a ‘soft reboot’, but if I hold down the off/on button while pressing the volume up button it shuts down the phone.

When I switch on the phone again, before Avast fully boots up, I have access to the phone for around 15 seconds. This is enough time to go to ‘settings’, ‘security’ then ‘device administrators’, and uncheck the box next to Avast

I can then reboot and before the software starts up, go to ‘apps’ and quickly uninstall the software

This is a bit disappointing. I am wondering if there is any setting that can prevent this.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your help. The software is otherwise amazing.

This has nothing to do with how avast works, but with how Android is working.

Thank you Eddie, I see your point, although the problem of ensuring a block remains … Is there any solution that you see? M

I don’t see a solution as long as Google doesn’t change things in Android.

Kinda the same is with hiding applications so they can not be wiped.
A simple factory reset will wipe them.
In my opinion it gives users who use Anti-Theft (and applications like that), a false feeling of security.
