A few minutes ago I got a warning from a site which is normally safe dinzagarms.com saying that Avast detected JS:Pdfka-JR [Expl]
abort connection and my flash player tried to update. I aborted connection and restarted to scan to make sure and nothing is there. I’ve since updated my Java. This is a site that I need to order something on and it’s been safe up till today what could be going on and can anybody suggest what to do?
I’ve just visited the homepage, and nothing untoward happened. Allowed scripts, ditto.
What part of the site were you on? (Please sanitize the link to make it non-functional, by making it hxxp instead of http.)
Hopefully you updated your Java from the Java site, rather than a 3rd party site?
I recommend www.secunia.org for online (or an installable “PSI”) software scan. This will help keep applications up to date on your computer - real important.
Concerning Js:PDFK-JR aka Exploit/Win32.Pidief removal. It has been detected in these files:
If you have the following files on your system with the corresponding md5’s you are most likely infected. You can remove Exploit/Win32.Pidief by deleting the files.
Important Note: If you are not 100% sure of how to check md5 signatures or is it a critical system file you should not delete it yourself, it would be better to use an antivirus program. You can click here to run a free virus scan
