Found Win32:Malware-gen

Hi all, on the 21st July my Avast free antivirus found 6 Win32:Malware-gen and moved them to my virus chest, I thought that was it and tried to use my bittorrent and it said it had been moved and couldn’t access it, in my programs I couldn’t uninstall it as it also said it had been moved and only option I had was to remove it from program list which I did, all 6 Win32:Malware-gen in my virus chest are to do with bittorent, is it ok to delete those? I’m trying to get rid of everything bittorrent off my laptop and when I type in bittorrent in search this pc lots of bittorrent stuff come up, thought id ask first before deleting stuff, I’ve also got a folder for bittorrent in my registry.

Please post logs requested here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=194892.0

Post logs requested? I’m sorry I’m not really good with computers, you mean the scan logs? I don’t have them anymore, I just have the things the scans found in my virus vault.

Read the topic I linked and just follow steps writen there. You will see which logs you should attach and how to get them.

Ok will try it, my computer is clean btw, avast finds nothing and I ran Emsisoft Emergency Kit today with a malware scan and that found nothing suspicious, just wondered if was ok to delete the things in my virus vault.

It messes up my computer Malwarebytes when I uninstall it, that’s why I was told by someone on the Microsoft community website to try Emsisoft Emergency Kit, which I scanned a few hours ago with and it found no suspicious malware.

Follow step two and attach FRST logs.

Sorry whats FRST logs?

I tried downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, after downloading it I went to my downloads clicked on it and I got a message saying windows protected my pc, windows defender smartscreen prevented an unrecognised app from starting, Running this app might put your pc at risk. And it as something to click on underneath saying don’t run, no other option saying run.

I got windows 10, is it check apps and files I turn off?

Here are the results with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, I’ve attached both logs.

Is it ok to turn my SmartScreen back on for check apps and files?

Wait fore reply from @Sass Drake

Sorry I’ve turned it back on :-[

Think you can still download the attachments

Downloading your attachments here in forum has nothing to do with your smartscreen filter being on or off

FRST logs doesn’t show traces of malware and your system is clean. You can turn SmartScreen on and delete folder C:\FRST.
Regarding BitTorrent client I see you have installed uTorrent. Did he was detected by Avast?

Thank you, I’ve done that…I still have those 6 bittorrent that were moved to my virus vault, can I delete those? Also I have other bittorrent stuff still on my computer is ok to delete those too, registry etc? Avast found the infected files and moved them there but I wasn’t able to uninstall the application and bittorrent leftovers are still around.
