Could “Check FP” be added to the detection alarm interface? ~
About “Check FP”

  • Download/ Verify information of executable file after reporting some file information to avast! server. The result would display which checksum returns a proper value
  • A message would be sent to the server if none is improper
  • Only paid version could select which information to send, md5/SHA-1/avast! checksum or general software information
  • Require mouse click to perform this action for both free and paid public version, while beta version would perform this action automatically but with daily restriction of up to 10 files

It is already there in avast 4.8, look at the bottom right corner of the alert.

Probably the function should be considered as FP fix that might be difficult for current feature ~

  • the software would check/ report whether it should be considered as FP and send update revise request to the server automatically
  • Upon request, server update would automatically restore to a previous version, and other user(s) would not download the improper update
