When scanning my credit card charges I noticed another charge from Avast. I think my old computer had Avast,
This shouldn’t have happened.
#1 - my credit card expire date was past and I have their email that shows they were warning me the date was expired.
#2 - The credit card company shows that Avast input a correct expiration date, which obviously had to have been guessed at because
#3 - when I tried to input a support ticket, I couldn’t use the email that I use (and that was emailed to me not only the warning email but the one this morning where they DID charge my credit card) because Avast said that Email wasn’t in the system.
#4 The last subscription details that I was able to pull up from an old email with the info from the email clearly shows what my old expiration date was…
I can’t talk to anyone, because I can’t log into Avast since my email that…
The thing that raised the flag with my credit card company (which I’ve already been talking to) was the fact that they went in and changed my expiration date, rather than allowing me as the customer to do so.
I have screenshots to support the chain of events…
Does anyone know how I can get my money back, rather than going thru the pain of disputing the account, or canceling the card in order to stop any charges since they take it upon themselves to update expiration dates?
