Free avast 2016 and athlon XP 2400

I wanted to add a new device with windows XP SP3 prof… Mozilla ver.48 browser. Athlon XP 2400+ which has no SSE. Is it possible to instal Avast 2016 ? There is no previous version neither other antivirus installed on this computer.
Neither online installer, nor offline installer starts. While trying the Online installation I got a message that something went wrong and there is one option only: to cloce this information. Offline instalation doesn’t want to start at all.

Please help. Maybe older version will work ?

As far as I can recall avast 2016 required a CPU that supported SSE2 (not just SSE) instruction set.

So ? No chance to use it ? What about older version ?

The problem being I don’t know exactly know when it came in - but I do suspect avast 2016, but there were 3 program updates for 2016 12.1.x 12.2.x and 12.3.x. So it may be possible to try one of the earlier ones or possibly avast 2015 or even avast 10.x.x.

The problem then is finding a source for old versions some I have suggested in the past offer old versions, but many use an on-line installation (meant for the old version) but it automatically downloads the latest version.
