http://www.oo-software.com/home/en/special/komputerswiat/

It’s an older version but it’s free  .Just passing along info.

very nice find 8)

But there are many nice Defrag programs that are free like

Defraggler

Auslogics Disk Defrag

Smart Defrag

or MyDefrag

Avoid iObit. Not trustable company.

Where can we download the program?
The email does not come with a valid link… I mean, only for download the v12 and not the free v10.

Edited.

Hi Tech, hope this helps.

Sure. Thanks.

Not to start a long thread of controversy, but there’s some debate as to whether defragging is needed on Vista or 7.

I wouldn’t recommend using this old O&O free version on Vista or Seven, too old, and the only reason it ever existed was when XP came out, and MS used software from diskeeper, whose CEO at the time had links with Scientology. There were articles everywhere on the web and computer magazines, especially in Germany where scientology is forbidden. This O&O version could replace (as standard) and even uninstall the windows native version. Again, might still be fine for XP, but you’re better off on Vista/Seven with MS latest and native defrag utilities.

edit: oh, I see the version linked here by the OP (10.0) is not that old…

The principle of defragmentation continues to exist on Windows environments. So, it’s needed.
Maybe you’re talking about the fact of Windows scheduling defragmentation by its own.

I was referring to scheduling, but the amazing thing is it can go for a year and still be above 95%. Must be much more stable than 9X.

Auslogic’s Disk Defrag

Can anyone tell me which Defrag program gives me the most disk performance?

Since there are many who claim to do so :o

What I can assure you about defraggler is than it don’t leave junks in your pc after uninstall^^
I’ve also used Auslogic defrag and I can say that it defrags more quickly than defraggler

My preference is Diskeeper. I have 2009 on my laptop, but the 2010 version is apparently much better as it prevents a major part of fragmentation. Its not free though, but worth it IMO.

Hello,

Defraggler user here.

you just need to know which defrag to use… quick or full. full obviously leads to more time usage and quick which is generally not seen in the gui is the fastest. novices generally don’t know how to use quick defrag and use full defrag and hence they feel defraggler is slower than others.

thanks
