Free Mobil Security, Download-Link leads to the Pay-Version

hi all,

i tried to downlad (today) the avast freeware for mobiles,
but the link always leads me to a purchase version.
can someone help?

regards
alfred

Hi,

really? Can you show me such a link? The usual link is this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avast.android.mobilesecurity

Filip

yes, thats’s where i am.

i only find the green button on top, which says “Installieren”,
klicking that, a small purchase window opens:

“Anmelden, um fortzufahren
Melden Sie sich an, um Mobile Security & Antivirus zu kaufen.
Abbrechen/Anmelden”

(i can read German)

is there a different (“free-”) button, i don’t see?
thanks in advance

Hi,

can you make a screenshot of that?

I see this window when I click on “Install”:

i was using the link you posted before. (same as mine, but for testing reasons i took yours)

PS:
are you logged in with a google-account-ID? (you know, it keeps you logged multibly and by default)
i am not, want to avoid it.
if so - and that IS the reason (not: “could be”) - do you know how to avoid?
regards

OK, just translated your message and I think it’s just Google playing tricks with the translation  If you log in using your Google account, it will download for free.

Filip

yes, that was it.
i looged in at google (in a different browswer-window) and this changed the site’s behavior.
funny

PS:
This “yes…” is not yet veryfied to the final stage of the whole downloading.
now it says my smartphone is not prepared, because i have to do there something as well (“open google play store app with that ID on your device”)
and so on…

if it does work, finally, no message will follow,
if it does not, i will return to our communication.

thank you very much anyway
