When I look at my “account” settings, my desktop has my laptop’s name (“Portable”), its’ config (Vista 32-bit), and it’s online. The laptop has my desktop’s name, its’ config (Win 7 64-bit), and it is offline. Since I’m typing from my desktop, this needs to be changed. How can I do that?

Go to my avast.com account and take a look at

Next, open Control Panel > System and look at the following:

You’ll notice that this is where Avast gets it information.
If it’s not correct, change it in the control panel so it matches what you want to appear.
You can also make changes in your my.avast.com account under Settings:

Well, the Control Panel lists my desktop and laptop names as I explained above. The Control Panel is fine. That’s the first place I looked.
Can someone walk me through changing the settings in Avast?
Have you gone to the my.avast.com account and from there followed the screenshot instructions ???
