Free Premiere Avast

I updated my Avast Free premiere Software to 10.2.2122 The reboot AVAST had downloaded Google Chrome although my account preferences are checked off for NO for Google Chrome installations.
What happened??
I have appreciated AVAST as a paid and free subscriber, but I DO NOT want that dinosaur Google Chrome on my Computer!!!
How can we make sure this does not occur again?
