I have had free Avast on my Netbook for almost 1 yr. Recently tried the free upgrade for 1mth. Uninstalled yesterday and when ‘restart’ commenced it went to blue screen. Computer is now frozen. Called AVAST and they will only help for a hefty fee! Where is the FREE support? Thanks AVANT!
You did not call avast but a third party as has been explained many times already.

What exact version of avast?
Any other security software installed (or previously)?
How exactly did you uninstall?
Can you still boot in safe mode?
What is the exact error?
Boot into Safe Mode and uninstall Avast…then do a CLEAN un-reinstall…look in my signature for a how-to link.
