free trial VPN

ever since free trial started have received no E-mail on phone

Hi,

and if you turn off the SecureLine, everything is working fine?

Filip

I am aware that I have a seven-day trial. My credit card will not be charged if I uninstall the app from my phone, which I did. Right?

Why is it so hard to find out how much the Avast SecureLine is in GB£? I’d just like to know before I try it.

Hi,

I don’t think the prices are listed online. You’ll need to install the app to know the correct price for your region/country.

Filip

I saw the prices. I just don’t want to be charged for something I won’t use often or at all.

I actually think you need to either manually cancel the subscription in Google Play or decline the payments on your card. That’s unfortunatelly how Google Play works as far as I know.

Filip

I removed my credit card from my payment methods.

That should be enough I guess.

Filip

I just got off the phone with a Google Play Store employee. She confirmed that I will not be charged.

Glad to hear that

Today I got the E-mail confirming that the free trial expired and that I would need to upgrade. I did not because I cannot afford it at this time. I checked my account at my credit union’s site. It showed no charges from Avast or Google Play. It just showed a charge I made to upgrade my personal site.

VPN users should be aware of the fact that the location that all active online accounts are registered on will appear to be coming from wherever the IP of the VPN server is. For some accounts requiring authentication and with advanced security features, this can cause accounts to be locked when you live in New York, but your VPN is in California, causing the account to lock due to suspicious activity, as it looks as if you logged in from California, while in New York with a VPN connection
