My system gets green signal,no problems found apart from 1 thing I noticed that it enabled windows firewall when I already had CIS running maybe they should be detecting firewall programs :
Hi true indian,
It checks if Windows Firewall is installed, the status of your av scanner and sets Windows Update to Automatic updates. .
IE’s pop-upblocker is being checked and the IE-version, that is being used. Tool also checks whether Remote Registry is being disablled.
Via the Remote Registry-service external users can change registry settings.
The tool will also delete the browser history and internet-cache, will set UAC as default and will reset the Proxy-settings, that could have been tampered with by malcode . Tool can only be run as an Admin Account.

Apparently not of much help when running it on Windows 8.
The message states that it doesn’t support My current OS.
Hi bob3160,
Not when you are advanced as on Win8, but a sfc /scannow should work there…
Then you have to resort to other means like special commands like you find here:

A command as used for resetting Automatic Windows Updates as proposed by zandubar (see tip-info credits below)
fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\ for instance
read: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff621564(v=ws.10).aspx (Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista) info credits go to Security.NL’s zandubar
But bob3160, you could come up with assisting users as how this works on Win8

Hi bob3160,
But seriously, I think to tool was developed specvifically for all the users with compromised computers up to Vista, and for instance for the Indian MS theater the tool could repair quite a few problems that users may have with XP, Vista and Win7 even. We’re not all living in the first world,
