My website at
123http://www.overlays.freewebspace.com/
keeps being blocked by avast Netork Shield.
The Malicious URL Blocked comes up, for months through many updates, yet Freewebspace say “It seems that due to the Avast recent update, you are getting the alert. It seems that the Avast is incorrectly tagging the Java script on the website as malware script. The issue is specific with the Avast antivirus.”
Same with Firefox or IE
Online scans show website “clean”. My HTML is javascrpit free, yet Freewebspace put some javascrpt in, so when viewd I can’t see it, only when I disable avast Network shield.
Site had been infected with Trojan.JS.Clicker.ACK see: https://www.virustotal.com/file/37f4925e100bee51e0e91c517e171ae71bfc55bead003b298964d8b8ae0c7edd/analysis/

I’ve read the VirusTotal report, but if the virus had been dead all that time why was avast blocking it up till today? Does the fact that I can now today access it mean the problem is fixed? Permanently?
If you can access without alert. Yes, then it is no longer being blocked and safe to surf. Sometimes an IP or malcoded url block can survive the actual close down or lack of response from the source. But here avast is not worse than other av solutions, there are solutions that are much worse in this respect, mwis for instance and ParetoLogic are known to be long overdue where malware has been taken down, has been closed or when response is dead and still give the URL as infested,
