Every time avast4.1(home) finds a virus, it immediately gives an alert & asks us to do a certain action depending on the type of virus. After that it asks for restart. However without any virus detection alert, at times it keeps on asking to reboot otherwise avast program might get corrupted resulting to system crash or something to that extent. WHY ? Can anybody explain this peculiar problem. I am using WinXP_SP 2(genuine)…Any solutions???
It’s difficult to say… but you seems to be infected with a virus that corrupts avast files. Maybe you should schedule a boot time scanning with avast and run other antispyware and antitrojan tools.
