Today, I received a message after conducting a full scan stating that these three files could NOT be read due to password protection! Here are the three files:
C:\Users\LucidDreamer\AppData\Roaming\GlarySoft\GlaryUtilities\Backups\41218.4745616088|>0000000033.Sfi
C:\Users\LucidDreamer\AppData\Roaming\GlarySoft\GlaryUtilities\Backups\41218.4745616088|>glary.ini
C:\Users\LucidDreamer\AppData\Roaming\GlarySoft\GlaryUtilities\Backups\41219.8129340393|>glary.ini
Now, I never downloaded any Glary Soft or Glary Utilities to my PC that I am aware of and cannot seem to located these files in-order to remove them!? I usually scan my PC daily and have NEVER received this “unreadable file message” before, so this was something that happened today. And the only thing I did today (that I normally don’t do) was download some Goggle Apps to my Chrome web browser. Is this maleware? And how do I remove these files from my PC running Windows 7? Please help if you can!!!
Um, maybe I didn’t make myself clear…there is NO Glary Soft or Glary Utilities downloaded on my PC!!! There is no software available to uninstall…I have checked my download file, control panel “programs” file and there is nothing!? I even tried going through my C: drive to locate these files specifically and there is NO AppData file??? Under C:\Users\LucidDreamer is as far as it goes…weird…right? I cannot locate my AppData file…any suggestions? Could this “phantom” files be hidden somehow??? :o
