Full scan stuck at 0%

Win8.1 64 bit

Avast! full scan stuck at 0%…although i see some activity on my task manager,I don’t see it proceeding.
It would be nice to know what file or service avast is scanning right now.Because right now I don’t know whether it’s doing something or not.Its a sitting duck here.

Search button on the forum also showed me some topics related to this but for older version.
Anyone else?

Is the icon in the taskbar showing any progress ?

Says 0% too :-[

I see some CPU usage from avast. It leads me to think the GUI isn’t updating the scan progress?

EDIT: I am guessing that is the issue here checking the scan log.

I’ve seen reports where the scan indicator didn’t updated or didn’t displayed things correctly while the icon did showed the progress correctly.
Haven’t checked with a full scan, but the smart scan in the beta version is showing everything correctly on my system. (W10 in Oracle VirtualBox)

I will check the full scan in a couple of minutes, just have to finish something else first.

Smart scan progress bar works fine here.I ran the full scan twice and checked the scan logs. The amount of tested files were different so surely GUI isn’t updating it right.

Problem is in the Beta also.
Indicator still showed 0% after 10 minutes.
Only Windows and avast are on that system, so it should at least have shown some percentage.

How do you check the status on the task bar please

A full system scan takes over an hour on one of my machines. The percentage complete stays at zero for about half that time before it starts to increment upwards. It did the same with previous versions.

I am confirming this is still an issue in 17.4.2294 stuck at 0%. I wonder if it’s a UX/UI issue?
