Please excuse me if this is the wrong forum .
trying to update Avast on dial up get this message , and getting timed out trying to access the net .

Function setifaceUpdatePackages0 Has failed. Return code is 0x00000,426, dwRes is 00000002

any help would be appreciated .

Please, post the last 200-250 lines of avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Setup.log

  • Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  • What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system? Did you have in the past?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?
