When I try to start Avast I get a message window, “Unknown Error” Application cannot load skin. Function “usi GetSkin failed”. Then the Avast window closes. Thanks for any help.
Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove
Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
Thanks for reply. Repair didn’t do it, still get the same “Unknown Error” window. I guess I’ll re-install Avast.
Maybe… some errors do not depend on avast. So, other posibility that works in some cases are changing the ODBC to XML storage method. You can see details into ‘Settings’ on my signature. Browse for the word ODBC for instance.
