The database of “Software Updater” seems to be not the quickest in the world.
Windows Explorer 10 for Win7 is already out quite some time.
So, if the algorithm finds a situattion where the “newest” version has a lower number than the installed version it should start “thinking” and not just state the version numbers and say it is up to date! :o
well we reported it earlier as well ( a similar case), it happened with firefox, chrome and iTunes, still didnt get a proper response from the Devs… Now Firefox is removed from the software list (or is it just me?)…
Hope they could fix it so that it installs the latest update nomatter what kind of update it is (minor update or not) because most of them contain vulnerability patches…
EDIT - Firefox is back on the list and it shows the correct version. Chrome, IE and iTunes are still showing the wrong versions though.
This is already reported in (EDIT - Closed forum link removed) and that was directly after a windows update to IE10 on win7, still reporting previous version as a new version available.
If you take the green tick and Up to date at face value and not open the more details, would you be happier.
Sorry David the link is not available or dont have permission to view it
Anyway I posted it to report the bug (again) and expecting to hear something about it from the Devs, hopefully they’re working on it… True enough, we know that its up-to-date but it doesnt change the fact that there is a bug
no worries… But the issue is not only with IE 10… its the same for chrome and iTunes. Was the same for firefox too then it was removed and was just added back to the list with the correct version details
