Game/Silent Mode isnt silent !

I have Avast 5.0.594 and have th silent mode on but I still get the “Virus database has been updated” blasting thru my speakers on a daily basis.

Why doesnt the silent mode turn that off ?

good question........alternative solution is

open avast > Settings ( top right corner ) > Sounds
