Recently we’ve had a problem develop with generated MSI files. Nothing has changed in their configuration, no security changes etc. The file is generated as per normal with the correct file size, however when executed they simply report “The installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package.”.
Things I have tried.
- Manually running the mirror to ensure all files are downloaded.
- Reinstalling the ADNM (and restoring from a backup).
- Shouting and swearing, tearing out hair. (probably the least constructive).
Has anyone any idea what could be happening here?
