Just loaded iTunes on my laptop and cannot get internet. Checked Avast and got the above error message.

You could try going to real time shields\ web shield\ expert settings and tick the scan traffic from well known browser processes only and reboot, see if that fixes it as itune’s uses that stupid bonjour browser service which is a real pain.
Another option is to get your ipad jail broken and then you’ll be able to install music and videos from anyware and not even need itunes ( apple software, i hate it )
