Geswall

I have been using Geswall for a couple of weeks now and it seems fairly good.I saw it on a few security sites like Bill Mullins Tech Thoughts and Bright Hub etc.

Like a lot of the folks here I like layered protection and Geswall fits in nicely as it will run with most security apps.I am running Avast,Winpatrol,Iobit 360 Windows firewall with Vista Firewall Control and Geswall all combined with no hitches so far.

From what I have read it seems to be a Isolator a bit like Sandboxie and a host prevention system.I only mention it as it may be useful to someone.

There is even a video about it on U Tube if you Google Geswall Review.I know it was mentioned here a couple of years ago but I dont know if anyone actualy used it.I think it is worth a look even if you do not actualy want to use it.

At first I thought it was a firewall until I went into it and left it till I did more research.I think it a good addition to Avast from the short time I have been using it.It is light on resources to.

I hope this is useful for someone. If not its a interesting programme to say the least.

I just tried this program GeSWall 2.9
http://www.gentlesecurity.com/blog/index.php/2009/07/31/download-geswall-2-9
Version 2.9 now works with Windows 7
Unfortunately my computer slowed down to a crawl.
I’m about to uninstall the program again.

I am sorry to hear that Bob.Its working fine with my Vista and I only have 1 gig of ram and 2 gigs on ready boost. It just goes to show all systems react differently.

Which is strange because the system I tried it on has 4 Gig of Ram ???
