I’ve been using avast for last 5 years and never before get any network shield pop up.
Till today I was connected through d-link 524 router. Today plug in internet cable directly in my pc and every our getting at least 2 pop ups with messages.
How it can be? Maybe router block all exploits?
Ok, blocking is very good, but what really piss me off - even ticket ‘do not show this message again’, next time with same object ip, I getting again pop up. It’s a bug or what?
If someone, who can help me with this I’ll be very appreciate. Thanks in advance.
search, and? Your link is unhelpful.
So, I have comodo firewall, using spywareblaster, ad-aware and malwarebyte’s antimalware, both with real time protection, once a month scanning with superantispyware.
win7 up to date.
And still getting pop ups.
Messages like:
Network Shield: blocked “DCOM Exploit” - attack from 81.178.115.162:135/tcp
are due to the RPC/DCOM exploit, which is a vulnerability that allows an attacker to gain access to the destination machine by sending a malformed packet to the DCOM service. It uses the RPC TCP port 135.
Which firewall do you use?
And, most important, is your operational system updated?
You could get this free program from Steve Gibson’s site. This small program will test your PC to see if it’s vulnerable.
