I have a Dell XPS 410 PC with window XP. I did a Avast update and after the restart of my computer the PC got the blue screen with the cause of the problem pointing to a file fssfltr_tdi.sys. I can’t even start it on safe mode to restore the system. Can someone tell me what to do.
Fssfltr_tdi.sys bealongs to Microsoft Family Safety Filter Driver. So it’s probably their problem, can you please send me (kurtin@avast.com) the latest minidump file (\Windows\Minidump folder) to see why your computer crashed? Thanks.
My computer was working fine until right after the latest update of Avast. I rebooted my pc as require by Avast after updating it and my pc got the blue screen with the error of that file ( fssltr_tdi.sys). Maybe is a Microsoft driver but I think it was trigger by the Avast update. Am I the only one who has this problem? I don’t mean to blame Avast but I think is more than a coincidence that the latest Avast update had something to do with my PC getting this error. Sorry if I offend anyone and appreciate the help. My PC gets the blue screen even if I reboot in safe mode. So how can I get the minidump file?

Post the FRST log here please
I have the exact same problem. On Tuesday, Avast updated and said that is needed the computer to restart. Everytime I restart it, it gets to Loading Persoanalized Data, then Blue Screen saying that fssfltc_tdi.sys unloaded with cancelling pending operations. I tried to go into Safe Mode, but it freezes up. The only way that I can even get into the system is through the recovery console, and you can not do much from there.
Have almost the same problem when upgraded AIS from ver.8 to 9 the latest from site. Done some times, always with the same result. :o Almost means that it was possible for me to start Win XP in Safe mode and run System Restore to recover OS functionality, but recovered AIS doesn’t recognize my license file anymore. BTW no any minidump found.
