gigantic attack coming

Dear forum members,

Microsoft and NetSec warned against a gigantic oncoming attack from malicious Java code by visiting certain big sites. Rumour says it has to do with a zero exploit, and the impact can be big if you are on IE with java enabled. The attacks may be prepairing for a zombie spam action platform, that is why computers are backdoored on a large scale by hackers. Some rumours mentioned msists.exe or a backdoor-ADV variant. NetSec sources did not mention the specific sites with the malicious Java code, but servers affected are Microsoft servers and the exploit is a IE vulnerabilty. Link here:

Who knows more about this. Forewarned is forearmed.

Polonus,

They say a year can pass like nothing when you’re smoking the ‘wacky backy’. You haven’t been visiting the famous cafe’s of your country too frequently, have you, because you seem to have forgotten this is 2005? :stuck_out_tongue: ::slight_smile: ;D

Hi FreewheelinFrank,

I thought this was a recent link. Anyway else we have to wait a bit.
Your reaction was apt, I do not even smoke tobacco, I think for 11 years now.
Only 28% of the Dutch smoke, 76 procent does not.
Next time I look at the date first, in case history won’t repeat itself.

Not to worry.

I sometimes forget which millennium it is!

The magazines and reviews say also about an imminent danger of massive attacks on the port 445. This is the reason why I have published the link to the little program Windows Worm Doors Cleaner at http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=14605.0

They’re pesky little fellows arn’t they?
