Glastopf - honeypot to trap hackers....

Hi malware fighters,

As we see from the logs here on the Internet thousands and thousands of websites, webapplications and databases are being hacked on a daily basis. Researchers now developed an easy to launch honeypot, that maps the actions of attackers. Glastopf is a honeypot that poses as a vulnerable webserver on which numerous websites and webapplications run with thouands of vulnerabilities. As soon as the webserver honeypot written in Python will be indexed, the attackers should be attracted by the thousands.

Glastopf has been developed by a student by the name of Lukas Rist during the Google of Summer Code meeting. “Our project serves two main goals. First to collect and analyze data and furthermore to warn hacked webmasters”, according to Rist. Mainly Remote File Inclusion, Local File Inclusion and MySQL Injection attacks are being collected, but the student will broaden his collection of samples. Glastopf can be downloaded via this site": http://glastopf.org/
