Glitch in the Avast browser extension

Avast browser extension has recently started to show more than one checkmark next to the links that pop up after the search. Sometimes it’s 4 of them and sometimes way more, either way it’s quite annoying.

I have same problem :frowning:

Have you tried a repair? >>> https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB204#artTitle

I already tried removing and reinstalling, but problem not gone. :-\

I have this problem with a fresh install of Avast on a fresh install of Windows 10 x64.

So do I and I can confirm the problem - Reporting it to Avast now.

I’ve just been told that this bug has already been passed on to the browser extension team and is being addressed.

Thanks for letting us know that this was passed on to the dev team for investigation.

I think you guys need a like, or upvote button for posts.

A thank you once in a while is enough.

Looks like it’s already been fixed:

Don’t forget to clear your cache

im still having this issue
Version 12.0.199 for Avast online Security

Clear your browser history.
While in your browser, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete

History, or cache? Which one is to be cleared? This is an important distinction, as these are two totally different items. If users are to clear cached site pages, and images, then they should clear their cache. If users are to clear their history of visited websites, they should clear their history.

Sorry to nitpick this one, but proper information is important to keep from confusing readers.

Both.

What would browsing history have anything to do with the extension glitching? I could understand the cache, but history is literally just that… a list of links to previously visited websites (Along with dates of visits)… nothing more.
