I have Avast Small Office Administration and 13 computers running Avast Endpoint Protection 8.0.1490. Try as I might, I can’t get global exclusions to stick. I open the GUI on the PC, enter password, click upper right Settings on the GUI, enter password again, click Global Exclusions tab, click browse and select the folder I want excluded, click Add, the click OK to close the settings window. The setting will only stay for maybe 30 seconds or a minute. After that, I go back in and the folder I had browsed to is no longer there and the shields are again issuing warnings about them. This is not a domain network. I am currently on a Windows 7 Pro 32 bit machine, but am having the same issue on XP machines. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
You need to configure Global Exclusions on console groups (SOA) not directly on PC. Local settings from PC are overwritten by console settings.
