Good news…
Which engine (product) are they using?

I bet it’s gonna be ClamAV open-source antivirus engine, but not sure of course… just guessing…

Awesome, this is very good news for gmail users. ;D

I wasn’t able to find that part out even though I did quite a bit of searching. ??? ???

Me too, before asking… no success.
I’m sure it won’t be Microsoft One Care ;D
But it’s a bit strange they don’t tell which engine they’re using.
I hope they’re not just ‘blocking’ the attachment files by the extension… this is ridiculous and Google guys won’t do such stupidity I hope.

Virus scanning is here! Get an automatic check-up every time you open or send a message with an attachment. We even try our best to remove viruses so we can protect you against all the ones we find. You're on your own with the common cold (try chicken soup).
That doesn't sound like 'Blocking' to me. :)

Me neither… but, who knows… I hope stupidity and marketing bla-bla-bla doesn’t compromisse Google company.
