GMail detected as a trojan, uninstalled, installed and still a trojan

Avast Mobile has detected GMail as a Trojan. I have uninstalled, rebooted the phone and reinstalled and still a trojan.

I don’t think it is a trojan, it comes from Google Play.

Besides if the trojan comes from Google Play the antivirus should have detected some kind of problem with Google Play.

Hi,

I have the exactly same problem today since the last Avast Update.
Standard applications as GMail, ChatOn and even my trusted Bank App are marked with the Android:FakeInst-EY

Same here I have gmail, drag racing, samba mobile and Firefox reported as android:fakeinst-EY [Trj] really annoying, fix ASAP!!

Mine is a Samsung Galaxy S3.

Yours?

Nexus 4 running codefireX SR15 with Franco kernel M1

I’m on Galaxy S3, have the same issues with trusted apps like GMail suddenly being a trojan.

Please sort this soon guys it’s very irritating having warnings pop up every time i try to check my email!

I’m considering disabling avast (I have a disable button on my custom ROM) and see if that stops it without uninstalling.

Conclusion :
ou Avast se trompe
ou il y a une vérole dans la mise à jour de Gmail
