Go SMS Identified as Incompatible with Avast

Is this right? I have spent a long time trying to find the right SMS app, and now that I have, Avast tells me that it is not compatible with it.

What does this mean, and what are the implications of using both apps together?

Well, it works to lock the phone, and I have hidden the text from appearing in the notifications bar, so if I send a lock message to the phone, the thief will not see the text before the phone locks.

Is there any other issue that might put my phone at risk if I use them both?

You usually want to LOST and LOCATE first (since after LOCK the thief usually turns off the device) and in that case the thief might see the PIN.

I read somewhere that you were developing a web interface to send commands to the phone via a web page rather than using texts. Presumably that won’t have the same issues? When is that planned for?

Alternatively, are there any plans to make Avast compatible with GOSMS and other text apps?

We would love to make our products compatible, but developers of the custom messaging applications would have to listen to us. Current situation is they are not even replying to our emails as far as I know :frowning:

I actually wonder why they need a priority in the first place. You need to have a priority if you want to receive messages directly.

More info of Android app complaining about GoSMS:

Hi, thanks for your feedback, because some sms app like go sms who are using a very very high priority get and block the all sms broadcast. If we don not get this broadcast , sometime we'll miss some sms when schedule backup is running, but after this version we'll use a new way to do that , and the high priority will be removed.
