Going back to free

I found on the Forum how to go back to free version after my subscription expires. To uninstall then click the button to go back. Done that.

BUT as I was watching the installation, there were SEVERAL times when it said “error - unable to connect to https server” something like that.

Will there be an error in the installation so it does not work properly? Or will it notify me to install again if it is not installed properly?

After those error messages, the installaton proceeded, so now I am confused.

What avast version do you have installed, the latest is 12.2.2276 ?

With the current version when you select uninstall (of a paid version) it should allow (offer) you to install avast free, did you see that ?

How far did the installation get ?
If it completed, even with errors, have you rebooted since then ?
