I’ve never seen it happen with an Avast product, but we had the problem over at Adobe and at first nobody believed it. Finally somebody, a customer, tracked down the bug that was causing a rare case of it every once in a blue moon. Had the engineers stumped for a few months before that customer nailed the reason. I think that taught me that weird things happen from time-to-time.
BUT, it’s still the opt-out instead of the opt-in which has a lot of folks sort of riled. Even some of the volunteer staff here don’t think that’s so cool.
