why is it that av programs are not very useful against redirecting or browser hijacking malware?
my brother -also using avast- had a problem with facemoods hijacking his browser not long ago,being pretty much computer illiterate,he still hasn’t dealt with it.

Currently no AV can stop certain variants… I came across a new one yesterday and I am still struggling to get access to the system to commence repairs (this one is running Kaspersky )
