hey all! First time here.
It seems whenever I type in google.com I get redirected to a site called commision junction. This has happened before although it was a different website (still typing in google but it redirected to something different than commision junction) and I never thought anything of it before because in a day or two it would start working normally again.
I feel like it is a virus although my avast is up to date, etc.
Any ideas?
thank you

run AdwCleaner…and click delete…post log here
then attach (not copy and paste) a OTL diagnostic log
You find them here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

hi Essex!
whenever I punch in google.com , it redirects to commision junction. Although I noticed that when I punch in https://www.google.com , google comes up, no problems.
I will uninstall Norton and run the instructions you posted.
Thank you! you guys are awesome!
Which browser does this occur in ? As Chrome will need the home page changed manually from Sweetim
The Norton removal tool can be found here https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us?product=home&version=1

guessing essexboy has logged out for today…
if all is okay tomorrow, he will remove the Tools used
and dont forget to uninstall Norton and run the Norton removal tool
running multiple AV will give you a slow machine, Windows errors and false detections
