Google turning to the dark side

Is it advisable to uninstall “Browser Address Error Redirector” that Dell installs on a new PC?

Is there a reason for drawing attention to a blog that 5-6 months old.

As far as the turning to the dark side what a load of rubbish FUD headline. The “Browser Address Error Redirector” has an add remove entry that gets rid of it for those Dell users who happened to ‘have’ it.

Dell has come over from the dark side itself recently and I believe has stopped installing junk like crap/junk-ware on their new systems or it is at lease an option to only have the OS pre-installed. So this being the case this blog is dead.

I can attest to that fact. I recently received a new Dell Vostro Laptop and ordered it with only the operating system. :) No junk, no crappware, no trialware.

Home users have no option to choose OS only. Mine came loaded with all sorts of trialware.

I don’t know where you got your information but, I am a home user and that’s exactly how I ordered mine. Operating system ONLY.

Well, in the country I live, machines that are available to home users doesn’t have this option.

Me too. ;D

Well I can’t see me ordering a Dell in the foreseeable future, but Dell would have two options, NoCrap or NoSale.

There is also the decrapifier tool if you are unfortunate enough to have a Dell with all the c**p

HP sales its notebooks with a lot of crap…
Symantec and Roxio on trial periods, for instance :stuck_out_tongue:
