I’ve encountered the dreaded AutoIt / googleupdate.a3x virus.
Following instructions found on the microsoft website, I managed to successfully clean up the registry (or so I thought) but there’s still one error message that pops up every time I start my computer. Line 0 (File"C:\Google\googleupdate.a3x")
Oddly enough, the remaining error seems associated to c:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe because if (and when) I disable windows update.lnk on startup (using CCleaner) the error message doesn’t appear.
I’d be really grateful if someone could help me with this issue.
