Gooligan on Android, does avast protect against this?

Hello, I just read an article about “Gooligan”, threatening android phones.
Does Avast mobile security (with current updates installed) protect against Gooligan?

n.b.: I wonder if avast has a database and a search function for known threats?

Hi, yes, Avast Mobile Security detects most variants of the Googligan malware.
To the database, sure we have a virus definition database, but no search function.
