Green Box New Version Notification

I just had a green box advising of a new version. Is this the beta 5? Right now I have 4.8.1335 and I certainly do not want to install a beta version.

This is the normal program update to the 4.8.1351 version, not the BETA, ALWIL wouldn’t do that…nothing to worry abut :wink:

Thanks to those that responded. It would be nice if in ver 5 the notification would advise to what version one would be upgrading.

I assume the Developers of Avast do NOT wish to provide SPECIFIC Version
“Number” in the Green box !? After a new “version” has been released, I always wait a few days, then check the Forums for possible “Complaints”.
While I am waiting those few days, I check the Avast Site for the latest
Version “Number” to what SPECIFICALLY was released .

Avast! 5 will be a manual update like some 1 said. Because its has really changed alot thing and its stricly about impossible to do it automatic so dont worry and if your not sure you can alway check the Avast! Website for the current version and VPS.
