Grim malware. How come we have to pay extras for every bit of protection?

A protection offered for free by some freewares?

If you are talking about GrimeFighter this isn’t an integral part of avast, there is however a connector, should you choose to use it.

It is a stand alone paid product, the GrimeFighter isn’t really a security based application, it is just the connector so it can be run from avast > Settings > Tools if you have the paid product. If you haven’t got the paid product and you run the connector, then you would be offered paid service/product.
