GrimefFighter gets stuck "Contacting Headquarters"

Hi. The topic pretty much says it all… Unlike other users, GrimeFighter seems to be working fine on my PC, up until the point where it is “Contacting Headquarters” (Message is something like that), with the entire deskop filled with the splash screen, so no way to exit without rebooting. I’m not sure if it is even worth trying to make it work, but if anyone has any advice or suggestions, I would be grateful.

Same problem. Then it says to contact support/avast.com which just runs you in circles.

Support will not let you run around in circles.
As has been explained many times, if GrimeFighter doesn’t work on your system ask for a refund.
