GrimeFighter: I can't find it anywhere!

Hi, I did a full install of avast premier, everything was selected but GrimeFighter is no where to be found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing, no grimefighter anywhere.

What’s going on?

control panel > software > avast > change
Is GrimeFighter ticked there?
If not do it and click ok.

If it is, un-tick it and click ok.
Go back there after reboot and put the checkmark back.
Click ok and reboot.

See if that solves it.

IMHO, skip Grimefighter, more of a hassle then it’s worth. You’re better off with AdwCleaner and JRT

I agree, GrimeFighter isn’t worth paying for.
But it should be in the free version oaf avast (2 minions) and it isn’t.
In addition to AdwCleaner and JRT there is also CCleaner and Glary Tools.

http://unchecky.com/ Keeps the adware from installing in the first place. Especially good
for those that insist on using the default install method instead of the recommended Custom inall method. :slight_smile:

I Can’t find Grime Fighter anywhere. I don’t even know what it’s doing, if anything. I also just recieved a bill from my credit card that I was charged $29.99 for something called Dri Dri Avast Software. I did NOT order this, nor do I want it. I know it pertains to drivers, but I would like more info, before I shell out $30.00 for something I don’t know about. Please give me some reason why you think I need this!

I am very disappointed how you treat you clients :frowning:
To get refund can not take a month!
I am only waiting for 19,99 euro!
This is probably not the right forum to cry about it but what else can i do?
I have sent my ticket as you advise me, but after that…nothing???
I am so lucky so i can manage a lost of 19,99 euro but i will never recommend your company to any one!!!

Jean that is Digital River and it is most likely for automatic renewal of the license.
If you did not want it, you should have unticked it while ordering.
